1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using ScholarSlides ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ScholarSlides is an AI-powered presentation generation platform that creates professional slides from topics, documents, or other input materials. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text and images for presentations. ScholarSlides is a fully automated software service. No human consulting, editing, or professional services are provided.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Credit System and Payments
The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when generating slides, refining content, or using other AI features. Subscription plans provide monthly credit allocations. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period.
All payments are processed through Paddle, our authorized payment processor. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Service Ownership
All intellectual property rights in and to the ScholarSlides service, including but not limited to the software, source code, user interface, design, templates, prompts, system logic, branding, and underlying technology, are owned exclusively by the Service owner. No ownership rights in the Service itself are transferred to users.
5.2 User-Generated Content
Content you create using the Service, including generated slides, text, and images ("User Content"), belongs to you. You may use your generated content for any lawful purpose.
5.3 License to Operate the Service
By using the Service, you grant ScholarSlides a non-exclusive, limited license to process User Content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service, including the use of anonymized and aggregated data. This license does not grant ScholarSlides ownership of your content.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates others' rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
7. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses AI to generate content. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. ScholarSlides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the account settings.
