What We Collect: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through our authentication provider (Supabase). This information is necessary to provide you with access to the Service.

Why We Need It: Your account information enables you to access your presentations across devices, manage your subscription, and receive important service updates.

Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time through account settings. Upon deletion, your account data and associated presentations will be permanently removed.

Cloud Storage: Your presentation projects, including plans, slides, and settings, are stored securely in our cloud database (powered by Supabase) to enable access across your devices.

Content Processing: When you generate presentations, your input content (topics, uploaded documents, prompts) is processed through our servers to communicate with AI providers. This content is used solely for generating your requested output.

Data Retention: Your projects are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual projects or your entire account at any time.

Payment Provider: All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not store or have access to your full payment card details.

What Paddle Collects: Paddle may collect payment information, billing address, and other details necessary to process transactions and comply with tax regulations. Please review Paddle's Privacy Policy for details.

Subscription Data: We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Paddle to manage your credit allocation and service access.

AI Providers: ScholarSlides uses AI services (including Google Gemini via OpenRouter) to generate presentation content and images. Your prompts and input content are sent to these providers for processing. Please review OpenRouter's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.

Authentication: User authentication is provided by Supabase. Please review Supabase's Privacy Policy for details.

Hosting: This application is hosted on Vercel. Standard web server logs (IP addresses, access times) may be collected by the hosting provider for security and performance purposes.

We collect minimal, anonymized usage statistics to understand how the Service is used and to improve the user experience:

• Aggregate counts of presentations and slides created
• Feature usage patterns (anonymized)
• Error and performance metrics

We do not analyze or store the content of your presentations for analytics purposes.

Data Protection: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure authentication practices.

Access Controls: Your presentation data is accessible only to you unless you explicitly share it using our sharing features.

Content Ownership: You retain full ownership of all presentations, text, and images you create with ScholarSlides. You may use your generated content for any lawful purpose, including commercial use.

Data Access: You can access and export your presentation data at any time through the Service.

Data Deletion: You may delete individual projects through the dashboard or delete your entire account through account settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed.
